Abstract

With the aim of articulating teaching, research, and extension, the work "Education and regional integration: South American experiences" brings together works by teachers and students of the Federal University of Latin American Integration (UNILA) on higher education and regional integration in the Southern Cone. In this way, the five works that make up the work address, in a critical way, themes and problems that are part of the most current debates on regional education.
Throughout the work, the different discussions that exist around education are contextualized when it transcends the borders of the countries that make up the region. In this way, the international system and its dynamics are placed as a starting point, in order to reach the scope of the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR) and the case of Chile as an associated country, then to the region of the triple border between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay and, finally, the trajectory of UNILA from its beginnings to the present.
